Budge budge II - About Block

Situated on the eastern banks of river Hooghly with semi-urban setting lies our block Budge Budge –II 

It  falls under Alipore  Sadar  subdivision  of  South 24 Parganas district in  West Bengal.

The Budge Budge II Development Block has an area of 78.00 sq km.

It has 1 Panchayat Samity, 11 gram  panchayats, 150  gram sansads  (village councils), 64 mouzas and 61 inhabited villages. 

Nodakhali police station serves this block as main Police station. 

With its  headquarters at Dongaria. It serves two Assembly Constituencies namely 156 Budge Budge and 145 Satgachia.

The 11 Gram panchayats of the Budge Budge II Development Block are: Burul, Chakmanik, Dongaria Roypur, Gaza Poali, Kamra, Kashipur Alampur, Naskarpur, North Bowali, Rania, Satgachhia and South Bawali.

Out of the 11 Gram Panchayats : Burul, Chakmanik,  Gaza Poali, Kamra,  Naskarpur,  Rania, Satgachhia falls under 145 Satgachia Assembly Constituency while  Dongaria Roypur, Kashipur Alampur,  North Bowali and South Bowali falls under 156 BudgeBudge Assembly Constituency.

The main occupation of people living here is agriculture, floriculture, and tailoring.

With electricity connection, clean water supply, internet facility and  metal roads  that serves as  arteries and veins ,this block is poised to become center of interest and manufacturing hub in near future.
